ItaliaStephanie Italia Ricci, born October 29, 1986, is a Canadian-American actor. Her roles include April Carver's role in the ABC Family television series Chasing Life (2014)-2015, and Emily Rhodes, White House Chief of Staff and Special Advisor in Designated Survivor (2016) to 2019. Ricci first began acting in American productions in 2009 , with minor roles in How I Met Your Mother and House. The same year, she also had a regular role in the show in the role of Sasha in the comedy series Secret Girlfriend on Comedy Central. In 2010, she appeared in Unnatural History on Cartoon Network as Maggie Winnock. She also appeared in an Clean & Clear ad. In 2011, she appeared in the short film Valediction. Ricci was a small part in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's debut first film as a director Don Jon in 2013.
