Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was only 18. Ladd then went on to win three fights over the course of a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents had been defeated in the first minute. In the following fight, she was back at WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen took on Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo ahead of a match against Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her by an unanimous vote to remove a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd returned from her defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11, she took on Ana Carolina Vidal and won the first round, via a TKO. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then moved to Bantamweight for her subsequent fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen defeated McGill through her grappling and ended her fight in the third round by TKO. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion via a unanimous vote. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came during UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with a ground-and-pound strategy to win by TKO in the second round. Her dominance continued and she was able to win a thrilling fight when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd won over Evinger in the opening round and was awarded the night's prize. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first fight in a major tournament. They fought in a close fight that Ladd took victory by a unanimous vote. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds to end her win streak. in the 3rd round on UFC broadcast on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her recent fight for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
