It was a mixture of reggaeton and pop music did not just bring interest in reggaeton but also attracted attention towards Latin music in general. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish and the year 2016 featured four. In the height of Despacito's success in 2017, 19 tracks primarily made in Spanish made it to the top 100. This number rose to 41 in 2020. Justin Bieber's bilingual remix Despacito was released in 2017. After that, some of the most famous artists began collaborating with reggaeton singers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny for MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna was a part of Maluma to create Medellin. Reggaeton's mainstreaming was an issue for some artists in 2020. Rauw alejandro and a younger generation determined to maintain the style. The group incorporated elements from different styles and electronic music.
